'Cyn' is a compelling Welsh drama set in a village ten years after the closure of its mine. The narrative centers on Emyr, a solitary pub patron, who is confronted by Simon, an Englishman. The play delves into the village's past, present, and future, inviting the audience to reflect on the question: 'Where did the heart go?' The production is enriched with songs by Max Boyce, adding depth to its exploration of community and change. Critics have lauded the play, awarding it four stars from Theatre and Arts Review, Morning Star, BuzzMag, and One4Review. Additionally, it received the 2025 Award at the Fringe Theatre Awards.
